Why everything you know is dead wrong!

Transcribed from episode 16
These last couple of episodes were necessary because as we keep traveling further into the realms of consciousness and awakenings it becomes a prerequisite that we are able to strip away our past conceived notions. These opinions that we did not create but were forcibly handed to us. In this particular case it deals with notions given to us by organized religions which were created during an age of ignorance, male superiority and need for control. And just like the story of the raft told in Episode 13, we leave these ideas just like that raft on the shore after it’s use to us is no longer needed. And although we may no longer need the raft, perhaps we can take parts of the raft that can be repurposed. Like using the rudder to make it into a walking stick, or the sail and rope to turn it into a satchel we can use to carry things. We take these items and transform them into something new and useful for our continued journey. In this same fashion we can repurpose ideas and concepts, thus letting go and leaving behind anything that may be a hindrance, and moving onward on our journey as efficiently as possible.
This is why we are going to talk about the holy trinity. I know many of you out there know what the holy trinity is. It is one of the cornerstones of belief for Christianity. What would you say if I told you that everything you know about the holy trinity is incorrect? What if I told you that we can take that concept of a holy trinity and with the correct knowledge and perspective, transform it into a jewel that we can hold onto for a deeper comprehension of life and relationships.
Let’s start off by looking at the common concept of the holy trinity. It is the father, son and Holy Spirit. Now look at that concept, do you see anything missing? I’m gonna say it again. The father , the son, and the Holy Spirit. Let me ask you, where is the female energy in that equation? Here you have a trinity of nothing but adult male energy, because even though it says ‘son’ we don’t think of a child, we think of the full adult Jesus. This equation is essentially unbalanced. This is what you get when religion is written by men who felt that women were inferior and therefore deserve no place on the alter of holiness. Think about it, they wrote a story in which their all powerful god couldn’t materialize a savior out of thin air, so he had to impregnate a woman, without her prior permission, and at the risk of being disgraced and stoned to death for being pregnant out of wedlock. Because men at that time in that Judaic culture viewed women as inferior, as property and so the thought that god basically raped this poor woman, was not given a second thought. Even today among the orthodox Jewish communities the treatment of women is horrendous. But no one talks about it due to fears of being called a anti-Semitic. But I will say it here, that their treatment of women even here in America within the Hasidic communities in NYC is just as bad if not worse than than in the strictest Islamic countries. If you want an understanding of how cruel that culture is to the spirit of women you can pick up the book by Deborah Feldman called Unorthadox - the scandalous rejection of my Hasidic roots. Written in 2012 and became a NY times bestseller. The early Christians where in this same misogynistic mindset as their Judaic roots. It is through this kind of perspective that the concept of this trinity came to be.
But the real holy trinity is so much more. Something that encompasses all. This is the real holy trinity: the almighty father, The divine mother, and the child which is love made manifest. There it is. Simply yet profound, each component with it’s own attributes.
The almighty father. This term almighty is not to be taken as mysogonistic rule over the mother. This is just an attribute. Each part of the trinity has it’s roles and attributes, none mightier than the next, but each portion necessary to each other to make a whole. The father or male energy is almighty but not divine. Don’t think of almighty like in the term of an almighty god. The term here means great or enormous. Like the almighty roar of a lion. And just like the lion he is the protector, the father, a warrior who will lay down his life for his family. A leader who should provide proper direction and support for his family unit. This male energy is required to provide and maintain a safe place for the family. The father is the beginning of the trinity, the beginning of the circle, but not any more important than any part. He is the beginning of the family unit. Isn’t it the man who chooses to court and propose to a woman? In that same fashion, the father is the first part of the trinity. The first link in the chain, but a single link is not a chain and a single link is not more or less important than the next.
The next component is the divine mother. Divinity belongs to the female energy. The mother energy is divine, she is holy, she is sanctity and she is sacred. She is all these things because she is naturally in tune with the rhythm and heartbeat of the universe. This is because her body experiences this universal cycle. Everything in our known universe is cyclical. The passing of seasons, the rotation of planets, the ocean tides, the cycle of the day and night, life and death and life again. And exactly in tune with that universal heartbeat is a woman’s body. Every month she experiences her menstrual cycle which is perfectly in sink with the lunar cycle. That is divinity manifested, THAT is god made human for it is as close to the universe you can be in human form. Granted that through spiritual growth and enlightenment we can become in tuned with the universe, all women have a step up in that department because their bodies naturally beat with that rhythm. For us men we have to learn to reach within and tap into our female energy in order to access that.
Yes you heard that correctly, see all of us have masculine and femanine energies within us. We are like the Taoist ting yang symbol. And we must treat our energies the same way, we have to be able to balance both energies and be able to tap i to them at will. A body and mind that is only concerned with one energy pattern is unbalanced.
The last link in the chain is the child. The love made manifest. The love between the male and female that produces the child. A symbol of the ultimate love between two people. The promise of the father and the life bearing fruit of the mother. The child whose attribute is love and innocence. When my wife was pregnant I was told by my father in-law that you don’t know real love until your child is born. When if first held my daughter in my arms I fully understood what he meant. A love that knows no bounds or conditions. A love that runs deeper than anything else I felt before. She was love in the flesh, love made manifest. Through her eyes growing up I am able to experience the world all over again with innocence and curiosity. With wonder and kindness. This is the power of our children.
This is the completion of the trinity. This trinity is not only seen in our human relationships, but in the universe as well.
The sun is the father, almighty and powerful in it’s ability to keep the rest of the planets in their orbits. But with all this power it cannot produce life on it’s surface. It can only produce a component necessary for life and that is light and warmth.
The earth is the mother. Warm and full of life giving potential. Her soil is nutrient rich and her oceans are life sustaining.
Together the sun providing the warm light and the earth the soil, they make their love manifest itself in the form of life on this planet. The earth brings forth and births life in all it’s diversity and splendor from within her. She provides sustenance and shelter to all of life unconditionally.
You can even extend this analogy and say the grandmothers are like the moon. Though their physical bodies cannot bear life, they provide further nurturing and caring by providing conditions that life enjoys. The moon is directly responsible for the tides in this planet. And the moon is in a tidal lock with the Earth which means that the same part of the moon is always facing the Earth, just like grandma always keeping an eye on you.
The blanket of nighttime stars is like a grandfather. Which is a source of mystery, wonder, and joy for entire civilizations.
And just like the stars and planets we are mirrored. There are various types of suns. There are those like our sun, warm, inviting, providing protection and a stable solar system. There are red dwarfs that do not produce enough light, just like some men who don’t provide enough. There are black holes, which are suns that have imploded and just suck everything around them. There are supergiants, stars that burn everything they have quickly, they live fast, due young and detonate as supernova destroying everything around them. Every type of male figure can be found in the stars.
There are also various types of planets. The one who is nurturing like the earth. Ones like Venus that run so hot they burn everything that comes in contact with them. Some are adorned with beauty like Saturn. And some are like Jupiter, so much larger than life that even though they have no life on their own they are the center of their own solar system of moons.
So now you need to ask yourself as a man, what kind of sun are you? The one who provides safety and warmth or the one attracting stray comets into your solar system putting everything in peril.
What kind of a woman are you, the one who nurtures life or the one which allows your atmosphere to be destroyed and life along with it.
And regardless of man or woman their exists a child within each and every one of us. A child that remember what it is to look at the world with wonder. Remembering how crucial it is to stop everything you are doing to look at a bee collect pollen from one flower to the next or dance with only the music in our hearts.
